Why is the edge of the adhesive label broken? Adhesive label manufacturer to tell you

Release time:2024-09-07popularity:6

Why is the edge of the adhesive label broken? Let me tell you about the adhesive label manufacturer. Adhesive label manufacturers say that when the die-cutting knife does not completely cut through the surface of the adhesive material, the label is easily picked up by the edge of the waste material. The phenomenon of labels being filled with waste edges caused by die-cutting is very regular, basically the phenomenon of labels sticking to the waste edges at the same position as the labels. If it is multi-mode cutting, the position of the problematic cutting die is fixed. This type of problem is mainly caused by damage to the die-cutting blade and uneven die-cutting pressure.

Adhesive label manufacturers say that die-cutting is a common problem in the die-cutting process of adhesive materials, and it is relatively easy to solve. Only by replacing the damaged blade or adjusting the die-cutting pressure can the problem be solved. It should be noted that sometimes due to uneven pressure, certain parts of the die-cutting tool may wear out more severely than others. When using this tool to die cut labels, although there is no obvious damage to the surface of the tool, it is still prone to die cutting. The method to determine whether die-cutting is continuous due to severe local wear of the cutting tool is to check the die-cutting depth of the backing paper. If there are obvious indentations on the base paper and the surface is intermittent, it is necessary to consider replacing the blade of the die-cutting knife.

Adhesive label manufacturers say that the adhesive force between the surface layer and the backing paper is called the separation force. If the separation force of the adhesive material is too small, the label will easily be lifted along with the edge of the waste discharge. Because during the die-cutting process, it is inevitable that there will be adhesive wire drawing, and at the same time, when pulling up the waste edge, the label will have an upward lift. If the peeling force of the adhesive material is less than the pulling force of the label edge, it is easy to cause the phenomenon of "flying label".

Adhesive label manufacturers say that the phenomenon of die-cutting "flying marks" caused by general parting force mainly depends on the adjustment of the adhesive label parting force by the raw material manufacturer. If the printing factory encounters this situation, it can be appropriately solved by increasing the processing temperature or increasing the waste discharge angle, and if necessary, materials need to be replaced.

Adhesive label manufacturers say that labels with small surface area or complex shapes (such as pentagonal star shaped labels) are not easy to automatically dispose of. When encountering such problems, you can try increasing the exhaust angle to solve the problem (you can use an iron plate or ruler instead of the exhaust roller, which greatly increases the exhaust angle). If necessary, manual disposal of waste is required.

Adhesive label manufacturers say that for many hot melt adhesives or thick adhesive materials, the glue is easily refluxed and re stuck together after being cut through by the cutting tool during the die-cutting process, resulting in serious glue pulling and the phenomenon of labels being occupied by waste edges during the die-cutting process. When encountering this problem, we can reduce the glue reflux by appropriately lowering the die-cutting processing temperature. At the same time, the cutting tool must be kept sharp so that it can instantly cut through the adhesive layer and reduce glue reflux. If it is a uniform die-cutting, the printing speed can be appropriately increased to reduce glue reflux.
